Help! What wedding band would fit with my engagement ring?

Hi Bridget! I can see why the distance bothers you. The custom band for my e-ring was going to be $500+ dolllars so I went with a simpler straight band. The bands of my rings sit a similar distance apart. I now love the way they look together but it took some getting used to. I would reccomend looking at some sellers on Etsy if you are on a shoestring budget. My engagement ring, my wedding band, and my husband's band were ordered from Etsy (3 different sellers). A lot of reviews have pictures that can help you decide and you can message the sellers for additional info. All 3 of the sellers I ordered from (and 2 that I ended up not buying from) were happy to answer questions and provide additional pictures upon request.



The people of r/EngagementRings on Reddit may have additional insight on close-fitting band options for you, especially considering the recent popularity of pears!

I also have a pear with a halo. Luckily it sits up high enough that a full band can sit flush without any issues. Have you looked into open bands? I havent seen many at traditional jewelry stores but lots of online retailers have them.

Etsy has a lot of pear rings and bands designed to go with a pear. Look up "tiara ring" "cluster ring" "curved ring" and "pear ring"

I ordered this ring to fit around my oval. I haven’t received it yet but this review photo is a good example of how it could fit with your ring. Aurora Designer. They have an Etsy shop as well as their own website. They had a lot of other band options as well.

That's a good shout - bringing the engagement ring to pop on afterwards. There's always so many little details to think about, everything seems like it should be simple but once you start deep diving...! 😅

Ohhh I love this! I definitely think this shape is the one I'm going to end up going for, not sure if I will go for the little ring of diamonds to match my engagement ring or a different style altogether. This one is gorgeous though!!!

Definitely onboard with Etsy! The straight band I ordered is from them and we also got our wedding invites done by a cute little etsy shop. Much nicer to support small businesses and I really like being able to order from the UK (where I'm based obviously!) where possible.

I can't believe I never considered that a wedding band would need to fit - I'd have asked him to choose a set otherwise just to avoid this headache!

Will definitely be having another look on Etsy to see what different shapes are out there that might fit with my pear...!

I think that the v shape may just work I'm in the same situation my engagement ring setting is big. It's a very different styles ring
So I think a infinity ring may do the trick

This update comes sooo much later but I wanted to express thanks to those who suggested I got a band to fit around it - for some reason that just hadn't entered my brain!

I couldn't find one that was the right style and dimensions but eventually I found an Etsy seller who very kindly agreed to adjust the dimensions so it would fit properly around my ring. It arrived the other day and I am so relieved that it fits! My fiance chose the inscription

I was desperately panicking that I wouldn't have time to find a solution if this didn't work out - we're only 1 month and 1 week out now 😱

Ahhh thank you, it worked out so much better than I was expecting! They're a pretty close match, close enough for me anyway!! I'm so glad that the widths match, that was really bothering me on other rings I'd seen.

The stone is a blue topaz, I've always known I didn't want a diamond and I could never get on board with sapphire/ruby personally, so topaz is one of the hardest wearing stones outside of the more expensive ones. Typically topaz is available in an aqua marine colour, but this shade is called 'london blue'

Well it is gorgeous, my guess was either a London blue topaz or a Montana sapphire. It is amazing and the band is the perfect complement for it. So pretty, enjoy wearing both!
