Help with my veil

Delaney, on June 4, 2024 at 12:25 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6
Hi everyone. So I've decided I want to wear a veil with my dress but I have no idea what length would look good with it. Any suggestions? Help with my veil 1

It depends on how much swoosh and drama you want! Are you doing a long train on your gown? If not, a long veil (chapel or cathedral) can be a fun way to add some visual drama during the ceremony, then you can take it off for the reception so it’s not getting stepped on.

If you want your dress’s train to do the talking or just don’t like long trains, I think a fingertip veil would work with that dress. I think you want something that goes past the waistline because you don’t want to distract from the visual sweep.

So I can't tell if my train is long enough or not. It's fairly long but I'm not sure. I love the drama of the veil and how it can change the look from ceremony to reception. This is the back of the dress. Help with my veil 2

If you like the drama of a long train, go for a cathedral veil! You’ll get all the swoop of a long train without the bother of dealing with it at the reception! See if you can try on different lengths at a bridal shop.

Longer veils, like cathedral or chapel lengths, add drama and complement the grand silhouette of your gown. Veil with 3D floral look good

Short veil gives attention to the dress and face long veil is very standard. You could do a mid veil with floral trims, i think a short/medium veil would look really nice. Check Etsy

I didn’t have a veil for my wedding dress, however I had a flower crown, so it really depends on how ornate of a headpiece you plan on wearing with the veil and for how long time wise. I made it through most of my wedding photos and then took it off before the reception. Plus if you get headaches easily, I would recommend something light with the veil. Otherwise you’ll look gorgeous no matter what!
