There are plenty of places to buy shoes in person, though as far as recommendations of what to look for, we would need a little more information first. Are you looking for specific style recommendations? If so, what does your wedding attire look like? That will help with finding shoe styles that pair well with your attire. Are you looking for a certain type of shoe (heels, sandals, sneakers, etc)? Any types that you're not comfortable with (heels over a certain height, boots, open toes, etc)?

I am looking for a kitten heel. Thinking maybe more of a wedge vs something thin to walk on grass. Do you think it is better to have closed toe shoe for the ceremony?

From your profile, it looks like your wedding is in March, and sounds like it's outdoors? If it'll be warm outside, it's totally up to you on whether you do a closed toe or not. If there's a chance that it'll be cooler outside (or any chance of snow), you may want closed toes. If the wedding is outside on the grass, you'd either want a thicker heel, or there are heel caps/stoppers that you could put on a thin heel that would make it easier to walk on grass:

I purchased a pair of shoes from Dillards that I didn’t even wear. I ended up finding some very nice heels from Target. One was a thick heel all white with flowers on it. The other one was a thick white heel with sparkle straps. I got a deal on the two and got compliments all night. I’d say go with a pair of shoes/heels that make you excited to wear with your gown! Good luck!

Try shoe carnival if there's one near you! They have a nice selection of shoes that fit that description (I even got a pair myself for an event a few years ago). Designer shoe warehouse also has good options from what I've seen. Maybe check the websites beforehand just to see what they might have? Then you can write the styles down and try them on in the store
