help with song for garter toss

I don't think it's appropriate for the groom to insinuate sex or that he's molesting you while retrieving the garter, but if done in good taste, it can be a fun tradition to carry on. How about "you can leave your hat on" for your song?

Ami and others, they make a set of garters you can purchase through bridal sites. One you wear and get to keep for yourself. And the other is the one the groom tosses. The husband never has to touch the wife at all. My FH is going to wear the garter that gets tossed on his arm over his shirt sleeve (like you see in old movies). When it's time to toss the garter he'll remove his and toss it. Nothing nasty with this arrangement, is there?

OMG, I love the idea of "you can leave your hat on". Maybe I can get him to bring a hat to the reception and put it on my head while I'm sitting in the chair there and dance around me while he's removing his garter from his arm to toss. Thoughts?! I think it would be funny!

Or instead of tossing your garter, you could have FH pull out a big ole pair of granny panties. I mean HUGE ones, and toss those!

Well, if you're doing a bouquet toss for the females, what do you do for the males? Nothing?! That's not fair. If I was a guy I would feel left out. So, if you're not doing a garter toss, maybe you shouldn't do a bouquet toss either....just saying.

I've also heard of having the toss garter on a football, no awkward-ness involved.

I personally love the garter toss! Yes, it's a goofy and somewhat awkward tradition, but why not play into that goofy awkwardness and make it fun?! As far as the song choice, maybe Legs by ZZ Top? Or I like everyone's suggestion of Pony if you want to make it real funny!

Imo, garter on the football is nonsensical. Just don't do it then. Is the bride supposed to take it off herself and give it to him to put on the football? No point to me.

FYI, there are ways to do the garter toss without it being sexual and awkward. Just sayin.....
