Hello ladies I was wondering I know when we do cake cutting the bride and groom does the arm in arm drinking wine. Is that a toast or how does that work?who’s supposed to say something? Help!! 1

    I think it's kinda just personal preference. I've never been to a wedding that's done the arm in arm drink, and I honestly think it's a tradition that's dying out. I don't imagine you'd have to have someone make a toast or announce it. They're really just for the photographer to take photos of, and guests don't pay much attention to it happening!

    To be honest I have never seen that done in real life at countless weddings. It’s personal preference and most choose not to participate for many reasons. It’s not a toast. It’s part of the cake feeding thing.

    It's actually not an easy thing to do, my husband and I tried it a few times, just for fun, but the whole twisting arms with glasses is just not so easy to do. I'd say this is probably more of a photographable moment now rather than how anyone does it.

    You can do this after the cake cutting if you want - but I also found it very awkward!! 😆

    If you want to get this photo I'd tell your photographer ahead of time so they can prompt you! 🥂
