Help!

Megan, on August 14, 2019 at 2:58 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 20

My FH whom I love so much has not picked out a suit yet. Our wedding is 10/4. Smiley xd He wears suits every day for work, so I just trust his opinion, but we can't really agree on a style. He wanted to do black tuxes and I don't think that will go. He doesn't want brown. I'm trying to be flexible since this is one of the few things he's had an opinion on LOL. With less than two months to go, I'm getting closer to a bridezilla breakdown.

Here's the flowers I'm going for and the bridesmaid dresses that were bought:

Thank you!!

    Have you considered navy?

Really anything will work. I think a black tux is classic and I'm not sure why you think it wouldn't go? Is your wedding more on the casual side or in a barn? Those are the only reasons I think a tux might be out of place. Otherwise, if that's what he wants to do then I say go for it.

If it's still a no for the tux then I would do navy suits.

Let him do a black tux, my FH bought one and had it in his possession, altered within a week.

A nicely fitted black tux will look so so good.

Dark grey is a nice compromise

I think a navy suit would look great with those dresses.

I think he can't go wrong with a classic black tux! If he wants another color, I'd say navy

Navy would look great! I just went to a wedding where the groom wore a forest green suit and the groomsmen all wore black. He looked so sharp.

I like the idea of black or a colored tux to match your color scheme. I’ve seen lots of grooms do dark red or blue!

Either navy or a grey suite with a gold/taupe tie to match the bridesmaids would look stunning!

I think black tuxes would look great! Or even a black fitted suit. Keep the venue in mind as well and what kind of look you’re going for. Navy or cream could also work. You could shop together, find a few options you can compromise on, then let him decide which one. Compromise is key!

Navy or grey would be nice. If he has a lot of suits he is probably pretty comfortable shopping/ordering one... probably isn't stressed out about turn around if he has done the suit shopping thing before.

Maybe suggest 2 colors and ask him to pick one.

I agree that black would look great. It's classic and goes with everything. But if you really don't want it, then I think navy or tan/light brown or chocolate brown could be good too.

A black tux will go with any color scheme. Also, if he wears a suit everyday for work, then he probably wants to wear something special for his wedding.

I vote navy or dark gray. And if it makes you feel better, we're getting married on Oct 5 and no one has ordered suits yet. We're pretty set on what to get, and they (jos a bank) said it would take 4 days to get the suits in, and up to 2 weeks for alterations.

    Agree with everyone else, navy.

My fh is going to wear a navy suit, but the groomsmen are wearing navy khaki pants and a light blue RL sport coat. It's on sale for $78 at Macy's and has a few colors... navy, light blue, coral, and beige.

I’m not sure if your FH likes slim fit suits, but my FH and his groomsmen get this “bright blue” (a little lighter than navy) suit from Macy’s for the wedding, and it’s so nice!! I think it’d look good with your bridesmaids dress!

Let him decide, it's his outfit. I imagine he didn't have a lot/any say in yours or your BM's dresses, right? As long as the bridal party is dressed in them level of formality it will be fine.

P.S. Black tuxes go with literally everything.
