Hem length too short? Help!

Shelby, on June 12, 2019 at 7:39 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 17
Panicking! I just had my final fitting for my dress, and I’m really worried the hem is way too short. I’m 5’3 and wearing flats, and I really didn’t want my shoes to show much, but the seamstress told me that the shoes will show when I walk. Is my hem too short? Here’s a pic for reference.
Please ease my mind because I am panicking. Also this seamstress is voted best in savannah...

Looks perfect, any longer and you could trip. It should just barely graze the floor

That is good. Like others said you could trip on it if it was longer.

Looks gorgeous. I don't think long dresses are the best wedding dresses. What about using high heels with this?

It looks perfect! Your shoes may peek out when you walk, but that's just because your dress is narrow. You really don't want it any longer though, or you'll trip.

Agree with PPs, I think it looks perfect. Any longer and you’d likely trip on it while walking.

That hem is definitely not too short. It’s exactly right...just barely grazing the floor. Even a touch longer and you would trip.

Looks perfect. Your shoes will show when you walk a bit here and there because your dress isn't a poufy one-- so it doesn't "sit away" from your body. No one will be able to tell that they are flats though (if that's what you are worried about!). It's just the toe that will show here and there. Your seamstress did a great job.

I don't think that's too short at all. It you want something longer in terms of train you can always have a long veil. It look good

If your shoes didn't show when you walked in a dress with that silhouette, your hem would be much too long. I definitely do not think this is too short at all.
