Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. I'm a floral designer and one of my designs came to mind. It's calla lilies and blue lupines with silver/clear crystals. Something like this, or any flowers you choose can be customized by adding silver star picks or silver stars spiral loops around the flowers. Gold colored moon picks can also be placed between the flowers. On your bridal bouquet a gold accent crescent moon or sun, can be pinned on the handle. Gold ribbon trim can be used for your moh and bridesmaids in conjunction with the silver stars in their bouquets too. The flowers that came to mind can be seen here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=260275189749&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=016

I would consider sunflowers, large white pom pom mums for the moon and little stephanotis for the stars! Good luck, Lynn from Florisan NYC

This is from The Society of American Florists on the meanings of flowers-

    Cosmos- peaceful

    Apple Blossom- promise

    Babys Breath- festivity

    Gardenia-joy

    Jasmine-grace and elegance

    Lily-Casablance- Celebration

    Red and White Rose-Unity

If you are looking for something that is more earthy you may want to consider Fall Wildflowers.

I'm doing the same -- same day - same theme - same colors! We're doing STARgazer lilies. They are STUNNING and fit with the whole STAR theme. The deep pink in them goes amazing against the blue and silver.

How about having a bouquet that has tiny sun, moons & star trinkets actually incorporated in the floral arrangement? So for instance the ribbon that ties the bouquet togther can be tied with like silver & gold sun & gold trinkets.

Hi! If you dont find flowers you may want to look into ostrich feather centerpieces. You can have navy blue and gold feathers mixed in each centerpiece with the vase lit up with lights! You will definitly get the wow factor!

I LOVE your idea to do a Celestial theme. Very different and very interesting. Being a floral designer myself, I have done many navy blue & ivory weddings. I like that you are bringing both silver & gold into the mix too. Silver stars, gold moons & suns. I can see where you are going with this. I would suggest doing all yellow flowers such as calla lillies, orchids, roses, tulips, etc. This would look gorgeous against Navy blue dresses. Then you can add some sparkle of silver & gold either through ribbon or crystals incorporated into the bouquets. I have done many themed weddings as well where the bride finds broaches or pins to compliment the theme and then I add those onto the ribbon wrapped handle which looks gorgeous. I have a plethera of other ideas to go from here in regards to centerpieces and boutonnieres. If you would like any further help give me a call. I am a local florist who would love to have a "Celestial" sample on my website soon. www.everafterflorals.com
