Here's my Bam! June 8, 2024

Kristi, yesterday at 2:48 PM Posted in Married Life 0 1

We got back from our honeymoon in California last week, so I guess now I can post my BAM (Back And Married).. It was such a magnificent day, everything was wonderful!! The wedding was in St. Louis, MO where I am from, and my husband Luke's family is only about 2 hrs away. We got married in our church (Catholic ceremony) and had the reception at The Wildwood Hotel , where we had our room block, so the out-of-town guests could party and then just go upstairs to sleep. Smiley smile The hotel was beautiful and looked like a French chateau from the outside!

My wedding dress is from the Allure line and I bought it from a shop in Salt Lake City (while I was there on vacation in 2023!) called Moments Made Bridal .

My bridesmaids wore Peacock dresses from Azazie and my maid- and matron-of honor wore Dusty Sage from David's Bridal. (I had two maids of honor because my sister lives out of state, so I had my best friend share the role.) The groom and groomsmen wore suits rented from Men's Wearhouse. I think the colors look gorgeous together!

My florist was the lovely Laura from Belle Fleur Floral Design in St. Charles, MO.

The outdoor photo shot was done at Queeny Park in St. Louis.

The reception was all done with a "book" theme because my new last name is Page - get it?? So the centerpieces were all done with books, we had a book topper on the cake, and the favors were bookmarks that also served as the guests' seating cards. My stationery was all beautifully done by Andrea Marlow Design. In keeping with the "book" theme, the centerpieces were done with books and all the tables were named after place names in some of my favorite books. Smiley smile I had little cards on the tables describing where the name was from in case some guests weren't familiar with them. Smiley smile The reception ballroom was decorated in teal and sage, our wedding colors, and we had a gobo light with "Page" and our wedding date on the far wall.

We rented decor and napkins to fit our color themes from All Season Party Linens and Weinhardt Party Rentals .

Each tier of our 3-tier cake from Celebrating Life Cakes was a different flavor - chocolate with chocolate buttercream filling on top, vanilla with strawberry jam filling in the middle, and the bottom was my favorite, lemon with raspberry jam filling.

Our DJ was Evan from Complete Weddings + Events STL (they also provided the lighting and the gobo light) and he was fantastic!! The wedding party entered the ballroom to (and I'm letting my inner geek self show through here) a song from the 1986 movie Labyrinth, "Underground" by David Bowie (I loved that movie as a kid. And yes, we also did a dance to "As the World Falls Down" if any of you are familiar with that movie). Our first dance song was "Love Exists" by Amy Lee (I'm also a big Evanescence fan!). My father-daughter dance song was "Roots and Wings" by Anne Murray, and Luke's mother-son dance was "Angels" by Randy Travis. We also played "Sweets for my Sweet" by the Drifters for our cake-cutting song, and "You Can't Hurry Love" by the Supremes for the bouquet toss.

My fabulous photographers were Elizabeth and Geoff from Truly Moments Photography. I seriously could not have done better than them - they were amazing!!!

Thanks for looking at my pictures!!
