Those are great spots for engagement shoots. Our original plan was to get engagement pics done in Philly, but with the move, I think we're foregoing an engagement session altogether. We started planning our wedding like two years ago and had the color, dress, and venue picked out. But life happens, so we never picked a date. When we did, I was like FINALLY!!!

So, we are using Love and Light Studios as our photographers. I love their work, and it was within our budget. Since our venue (which includes food, open bar, cake, tables, and chairs) is so expensive, we are working with a small budget for photography and other things. Especially since I now need a wedding planner with the distance. Who's your photographer?

Using friends can be hard because it can be tricky to ask. We are hoping to use a professional DJ who is also friends with my fiance's cousin. He did her wedding for only $300 and was awesome. Hoping to get a good deal as well, fingers crossed.

The one thing that has me completely stumped is florists. I really don't want to spend tons of money of flowers. Who are you using for floral?

We're having the hardest time finding an affordable limo company, just to transport the bridal party from my parents' home to the venue (20 minutes from each other in Philly suburbs). Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.

Philly Bride here!! Getting married on 9/29/18 at the American Swedish Historical Museum in South Philadelphia which is one of the venues catered by Jeffrey A. Miller Catering (highly recommend!). Anyone else getting married at JAM venue?

I am getting married next week at the John James Audubon center. We loved the outdoor scenery there and of course the food (Jeffrey Miller Catering is the caterer there). I highly recommend you check this one out!

I’m a Philly bride! We’re getting married next June at Welkinweir (a JAM catering venue - so excited for their amazing food) in Chester county. We fell in love with the gardens even when they were covered in snow this January! We’ve been told so many times it’s a hidden gem.

Philly Suburb Bride! June 8th 2019! We just booked the venue and onky have about 115 days to plan! We found the most perfect hidden gem venue with an amazing all inclusive cater and could NOT pass it up! Let me know if any ladies want to know where this gem of a venue is!

We had a sort of short engagement too by most standards at 10 months. It was kind of nice because I didn't have time to change my mind too many times! How is your planning coming along. Are you gonna pull it off? 😄
