Hi! How much do Wedding Djs cost?

I’ve gotten quotes between $600-1600

It's based on location and experience plus whatever the DJ packages include. I was quoted at $1195 for mine and that's their most expensive package.

We paid $1750 because he played acoustic guitar and sang during cocktail hour. Just to DJ it would’ve been $1500.

When I priced them out most were about $1200 in the West NJ area. We found one who was only $600 (could have been $500 but we upped the package to include uplighting)

Why don’t you use a site like Thumbtack or Gigsalad and see what DJs in your area are charging for the amount of hours you want? It helped me get a feel for budget for the band I hired.

It all depends on your area. Mine was 1700 but he is also doing twinkle lights. He was the cheapest I found.

Ours is 1250 for 7.5 hours!

Mine is charging 400, but it's because i've known him over 35 years. His usual price is 650, and that seems to be the going rate in my area. I would check on thumbtack or here on WW and see what the average prices are in your area

We have one for the ceremony, cocktail and reception. It was 1050. And the price went up from there depending on if you needed more time or wanted a dj and separate mc. Ours is one person who can do both and they include lighting. They usually run about 1-2 grand for most areas. Thumbtack can be helpful in finding cheaper djs and everything in your area.

Ours will be about $1,300 for the whole day (they'll be there about 9.5 hours total). We didn't do uplighting or other crazy lights because we like the bistro light vibe our venue already provides. We did have to rent a bit of extra equipment for our ceremony and our cocktail hour because they are all on different floors. The cost seemed super reasonable for our bigger city.

We paid $700 for the ceremony and reception service with our DJ! He was awesome. If you hunt hard enough you can find good prices!

Mine has a discount with the venue I'm at. I'm paying $1598 for 5 hours of music, 6 uplights, dance floor lighting ($1049), and then a photobooth ($549).
With the deal I got, there's no charge for the lighting and $100 off the photobooth because I got a package.
