    I think you just have to embrace it and if a few people see you walking from there, I don't see the harm in it. Have you asked your venue what other brides have done...they may have some clever ideas. Many event rental companies can rent you a set of doors similar to the pic below if that would help any.

    Also found this...they are called artificial boxwood panels. I'm sure you could rent them through an event planning company somewhere as well, though you might need quite a few to line the pathway to block your guest's view and I'm sure it would get pricey.

    I went to one where the bride stood in the bed of a truck and the bridesmaids circled around her. It took her from the suite to the ceremony area. They also had doors leading to the aisle that they closed for the bride. It was super neat!

    I could've used some cups of H2O and some high fives, for sure. Dad kept me laughing the whole way down.

    I can't believe I'm saying this but...

    I see a driveway. If it's that important to you, why not just have a car drive you from the library to the chapel?

    @Kathryn, I definitely also came here thinking it was about a weird wedding or bridal shower game!

    @Kathryn & @Anna - Hide the Bride is actually a tradition out of the Czech Republic, and one my FH and I will be doing at the reception (he's Czech)

    @ShibaMommy That's awesome! I'm curious... does it literally involve hiding the bride? Does the groom have to find her?

    @Anna - Yes!

    The grooms party and/or friends/family of the groom kidnap the bride and the groom has a set amount of time to find her (short, usually 5-10 minutes). If he doesn't find her in time, the groom has to pay a ransom for the bride. It's supposed to represent the separation from the bride's parents, that the groom must be watchful/protective, and that he will always take care of his bride.

    There are a TON of Czech wedding traditions, I was really surprised!

    I was seen by everyone before. The entrance to the venue was right next to the bridal suite. And the aisle was really long. (See wide open door in background)
