How on Earth did you manage to keep it to only 100ish guests? Do you think that was because it was a destination wedding? I am scared of having a Hindu ceremony because I know that everyone you've ever met expects to be invited.

Looks beautiful! I love the detail and finery that goes into Hindu ceremonies.

What type of events did you host for your guests?

We managed to have only 108 guests for it was a DW. Inland we would have had at least 500. Ridiculous! I am glad everyone was on board for this idea

Jessica L., the events are all part of the weddings. Usually prayers are held in the days leading up to the wedding, as are a few ceremonies and parties (not more typical American events like playing beach volleyball)

Thanks everyone! But the events were non Indian! Friday night we had a casual dinner and drinks. We were at the beach all Saturday parasailing and wave running. Saturday night we had a Mehendi night with a Henna artist and a live Carribean band and danced to limbo and conga line music.

Sunday morning was outdoor breakfast on the lawn. The religious ceremony was an hour long and we quickly changed into our beach clothes and came back to the lawn for an italian vegetarian buffet. We then piled into two buses and went to pier for a 3.5 hour sea excursion on MI DUSHI catermeran. It was a blast with rope swings and snorkeling. Everyone or most everyone were in the water. There was an open bar and vegetarian snacks. Just pure fun. They played Carribean music.

We then came back and got ready for a 6pm reception at the adult pool. The ceremony was the only time we wore traditional clothes. Rest of the time we just wore dresses and partied. The last event was a farewell brunch
