Sorry to hear about this!! Does the florist have a store that you can go visit to see if you can get a response that way?

I do not think so. The address listing takes me to a house which I am guessing is his.

How long has it been since you initially reached out?

I have been trying to reach out since April. I feel so stupid and scammed and at this point I am running out of time and do not know what to do.

How long has it been since you've been trying to contact him? Does his company have a social media page that you can try to reach out through? Or maybe try calling from a phone number that he won't recognize as yours. I hope you're able to find a way to get in contact!

Oh man, do you think maybe he went out of business? Have you seen him still posting on FB or Instagram or featuring any current weddings? Since it has been so long, honestly, your best bet is 1) find a new florist ASAP, 2) engage an attorney to help review your contract and write a letter to this vendor to highlight any parts of the contract he has breached to help support getting your deposit back.

I hired him because I found him here. Now that I look for him on Google his last reviews are from 5 years ago. All florists I talk to are booked now of course. I am less than 2 months away from my wedding day.

Did you have a contract in place with him?

Oh wow. I would cut your losses (how much did you pay?) and look for someone else more reputable in your area via Instagram or Yelp.

Yikes. Yes definitely pay attention to the date of the reviews. If there is no one available and you have used all resources (Instagram, local Facebook wedding groups) then go to Costco.com and order a wedding flower bundle or get bouquets from the local grocery store.

You need to focus on finding a solution ASAP and you can deal with him after your wedding. Doesn’t sound like much is going to happen quickly from him - he took your money and isn’t planning to provide services- safe to assume but try to save that anger for 2 months. Depending on your budget you probably want to DIY at this point. The above poster has good recommendations for flowers. Use Yelp and search by *most recent* review! Check their Instagram and Facebook to make sure they’re active - if they’re decent at what they do they will have regular posts. Good luck!
