Hiring a bartender - what do they bring with them

Ask the bartender you are hiring what they have or what they need - they'd be the best source of information.

Check with your bartender. Our bartender will be bringing her own bar to the reception. But when I was in the process of hiring a bartender, one of them asked me if I would provide one or if she had to bring hers (obviously there was a difference in costs)

Check with them because every company is different.

As others have indicated, this isn’t standard. For our wedding, we supplied the “bar” but the bar was just a standard rectangular table. We had 2 separate set ups (one for cocktail hour and then the main bar), so the one for cocktail hour we rented along with the rest of the dining tables, and the one for the main bar we were able to use a bar table that we already owned (an old countertop on some wine barrels)
