    1. minimum amount of hours needed?

    2. cancellation policy?

    3. what are the fees?

    4. what details won't you handle?

    5. do you require meals?

there's probably a lot more to ask but that's what i think of

I'm sure there's a lot of posts about the logistical questions you should ask, but I wanted to chime in that it is super important that you get along with them. I sent out feelers to three different ones when I was starting. While all three were within my budget and they had all the answers to the capability questions, I really only clicked with one of them.

My coordinator is a no nonsense, bulldog kind of lady. The other two wanted to talk about how exciting everything was and how wonderful everything was, and I really just wanted to talk brass tacks and logistics. I'm getting married in a week, and she has a bolded list of all the details and has assured me she will guard the door against some of the vendors that I'm not very fond of. That's the person I need, and I'm hoping it will make me feel more calm on the day.
Consider that in your selection process and have a call with them before locking in if you can.

Definitely see if they have a list of what they will and won’t do. When we were looking one would set up all the tables and chairs but wouldn’t set up and of the signs and decor. Deal breaker find someone who will do everything you can possibly think of and more and won’t charge more for it. Check with the hours and pre planning one had two meeting maximum and charged for extra pre wedding planning days. If they will do everything you need as far as set up and logistics and will be there for anything you need you should be good!
