Hiring clean up crew

Shelby, on August 6, 2018 at 3:38 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 3 13
My venue requires that we have all of our stuff cleaned and out of the facility by midnight on my wedding and originally my fiancé and I didn’t see this as a big deal, however now that we have given it more thought we definitely don’t want to ask family to clean up after a night of fun. With that said we have decided to just hire a cleaning crew- is anyone else doing this? How are you going about finding a credible crew?

Does the venue offer cleanup options? Inwould check into it. Your planner or day of coordinator might have suggestions. Good luck and congratulations on your special day!

I agree I would ask abt this. Our vendors will be responsible for taking everything they brought, but our venue specifically takes care of break down of chairs/tables/linen etc. Had they not, we also have a DOC & this is a service she provides.

Yeah, I did, and they don’t offer any cleanup. They also said they don’t know what other people have done in the past but that nobody has ever had a problem with it.

What exactly do they not pick up? Food? or decor? Cause many do not, they will clean their own facilities like sweeping or vacuuming. But they generally don't toss out the extra flowers or extra dessert bar, menus, etc. Thats generally the help of a day of coordinator. I remember i ended up being one of several family members to help my friend load all her vases and decor in the car at the end of the night. A DOC handles all of this.

The caterer will clean up all the food but they won’t take down the linens or stack the chairs, out decorations in boxes, etc. And I can’t afford to hire a day or coordinator.

You caterer should be cleaning the kitchen. If they are also providing the linens, dishes, silverware, barware etc then they should also be cleaning up those areas. I guess I am unsure as to what would be left to clean up? At my oldest daughters wedding we had to give a security deposit however once the caterer cleaned up, I went and ensured that no food, cake, beer bottles etc were left and exited the building. If you need to hire cleaners you could also look on line and see who has cleaning services and all and see what they recommend.

Is your venue a blank canvas and you’re hiring/ bringing in vendors? If so I’m guessing the venue wants it returned to how it was?
Sorry, I don’t have experience with this. Maybe wedding wire has reviews for this? Or think outside the box and look at yelp or Angie’s list or something?

Looking for clean up crew for my wedding as well! My fiancé and I figured we would hire as it would be terrible to ask my family to help clean after a night of fun!

Did anything ever come of this? My venue is bare bones, meaning we're bringing in everything ourselves, and they expect it swept and mopped level clean before we leave. Like other brides here, I don't want my family/guests trying to do all of that after a wedding, least of all mopping in wedding attire.

Is there such a thing as a post-wedding cleanup crew? Should I be asking the caterer (a friend of the family) to bring in a few extra people and charge us a bit more in return for doing the table/chair breakdown and sweeping and mopping after the party is gone?

I've been able to google clean up crew for wedding and a few results have come up but they're wrapped in with packages of wedding planning companies
