Hiring Hair and Makeup during covid and Winter

AllyFram, on October 5, 2020 at 8:21 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 2

I am getting married in December after having to push my wedding due to COVID. Since we moved the date, we also decided to move the venue and change it all up. There is no longer a salon in this new venue and I am struggling to find a reasonable hair and makeup artist. I want a very simple hair style that will keep my hair out of my face and some makeup that will look good in the pictures.

Does anyone have any advice on how to find a hair and makeup artist that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and will travel to my venue in winter and with COVID? I am starting to wonder if I should just DIY this even though I don't have experience with hair and makeup.

You could always reach out to beauty schools and see if there is someone willing to travel, otherwise, I'd try to google. Due to the exorbitant cost / quotes I received 10-months in advance, I've opted to just do my own. I'm confidant in my own abilities and very few ever do make-up in my style.

Hi AllyFram! Are there any salons that are nearby? I'd definitely also consider going to a salon (if possible) and getting your hair and makeup done if there isn't anyone available to travel to you!
