Hitch Switch to Change Name

If you do a search of the forum (top right of the page) there are many posts about this company/service. Basically you pay them to collect forms that are easily found free online. They don’t fill out anything for you. Most ladies considered it to be a waste of money for that reason.

You’ll also have to submit the papers in person (ie: courthouse, social security office). All they do is gather all forms for you, which you can do yourself

There are only 3 formal forms that exist, and these are what Hitchswitch compile for you:
Social Security: https://faq.ssa.gov/en-us/topic/article/ka-01981
Passport: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/have-passport/change-correct.html the form you need depends on whether or not you got a new passport within the last year. Driver's License: state dependent

First you change it with SS, then you can change your driver's license and passport (if you have one). After that, I did my bank (which required me to go in person). For everyone else (utilities, credit cards, etc.) I was able to just send an email with a photocopy of my new driver's license and marriage certificate.

The only thing Hitchswitch does is get you the 3 forms (2 of which I linked above) and maybe fill our your name and address on them (the forms are all a page long).
