Hives

Ella, on June 29, 2023 at 11:59 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 7
Hay guys , my wedding is in less than month and a couple days, I used dip in nail powder so my nails won’t fall or chip out. They looked good, untill about a week and half later I still had them on I just re touch them. My skin was so itch I wanted to cry. I got hives from these nails and I don’t know what to do. My doctor tolled me “it’s just hives I’ll give u allergy pills” that isn’t helping much. I feel like my skin just isn’t as bad as before we’re it was all itchy and red and blowing up. But still the neck and arms and legs and sometimes face is itchy , if I touch them the skin blows up looks gross. I tried on my wed dress……. And because my skin is still sensitive from that allergy stuff it gets irritated fasssttt everything is red ! So embarrassing. Idk what to do plz helppppppp I looked up everything idk what else to do. Anyone had this before ? Or any clue how to stop the skin from turning RED, from my heavy beaded dress. PLLZZZZ HELP MEEEEE !!!!!

Get an appointment with a dermatologist asap or go to Urgent Care.

I agree with Michelle about going to the doctor. And have you removed the dip-it powder yet? Make an appointment with your nail salon asap. If this is an allergic reaction, it should definitely be healed by your wedding as long as you’re not exposed again.

Yea I removed them, I had them on for like a week and a couple days. I feel better not a lot of itching but I am terrified if anything happens at my party or the redness comes back.hopefully it doesn’t come back.thank you for answering .

You could try Benadryl cream or hydrocortisone cream.

Good luck! You should also report this reaction to the company that made the product. And see either an allergist or a dermatologist.
