Thank you! These were one of those few items where I saw them and my heart immediately started racing and I just fell in love with them. The quality is great and they are so unique. Hopefully they'll become a family heirloom and we can pass them down. The company has a website and I believe they have a FB page too. Here's their info in case you are interested. The company is called Fellowship Foundry and this is the link to the dragon glasses. They have many different glass colors and I know they have a lot of other pieces that incorporate dragons into them. I saw some beautiful pewter goblets with dragons at their booth. They are a bit pricey, but they are handmade and they have some serious weight to them. Also, if you ever drop one and the glass breaks, you can send it in and they'll replace the glass for you for a very fair price. I am not sure if you are having a shower, but maybe see if you add these, or another "Smaug" element item to your wish list? Best of luck with your planning and I have to admit, yours may be the wedding I anticipate seeing photos of the most on here!!!! http://www.fellowshipfoundry.com/perl-bin/catalog.cgi?ITEM=K057

EDIT TO ADD: I just looked them up on Facebook and they do have a page. I am not sure where you are, but they are currently at the Texas Renaissance Faire and I think they post where and when they will be next.

NWR but you have a hobbit cookbook?!?!?! That is so cool! The hobbit is probably my all time favorite book.

And I LOVE the cake cutter, what a cool idea! Your wedding theme sounds like it's going to be awesome!

Thank you!!! This vendor actually travels to different Renaissance faires all over the country. When my mom was younger she had been big into attending these festivals. When I was a child she was getting remarried and she really wanted a set they had where the stems were grape vines instead of dragons. Her fiancé hated them and so she never got them. I remembered the shoppe and went to the faire this year with the intention of wedding shopping. They had a beautiful selection with not only the dragons, but a king and queen, Celtic knots, grape vines, peacocks, faeries, and a few others. They're pewter smiths and they make all of their wares by hand. They also have pewter goblets, beer steins, light switch plates, statues, and jewelry. We just got very lucky that they happened to have the dragons with the deep blue glass that my fiancé wanted. They were the very last ones! The company is called "Fellowship Foundry". I also got lucky with my 2 other wedding day items on my shopping list. I got a beautiful hand dipped and carved candle from the candle maker for our unity candle ceremony and I got steins made from horn as the groomsmen gifts. What a successful fun filled nerdy day!

Indeed, I do! I really like to support small businesses, especially craftsmen. In today's day and age it's not easy to make your living the way our ancestors did. Not only was I super stoked to get awesome and unique items, but it's great knowing that I am contributing to keeping ancient skills alive and well by supporting these craftsmen.

Where did you find these!?! I have been looking for sting unsuccessfully.

Also love the idea. We aren't doing quite as much, but have Harry Potter sound track pieces for the ceremony, among other small and subtle things of books and movies we love.

Your parents are so uncool. Lol. Everything about this is perfection. It’s already cool looking and then the added personal meanings just make it that much better!

Oh my gosh that is so awesome!! Well here's some things i have. That little orc I got from eBay anf they have the entire crew. I bought a lot of stuff from Etsy like Killi's rune (unless you're not mixing the Hobbit like I am) we have lembas bread soap for the centerpieces and of course the Ring (also ebay for 90 something cents) also we're using a lot of mini funk pops in our centerpieces and middle earth map

So far I have full size Anduril, but I'm definitely stealing this idea as an excuse to get another sword in small size.

We're going with Gandalf for officiant, Frodo for ring bearer, and my dad I'd doing Gimli. Best men boromir and faramir

As women are limited in choice we will have multiple of each

    Fiance Aragorn of course

I'm using a variety of things for centerpieces and small details

We're doing the shire (dessert), a troll cave (gift table), troll horde (favors), the wilderlands (food setups), Moria(welcome table), and maybe like a decoration table, for guests tables im usng Rohan, Emyn Muil, Old Forest, Mirkwood, Gondor, Lorien, Erebor, Mordor, Rivendell, head table minus tirith

I'm laying tables out roughly where they correspond to Tolkien map

I also am doing etched headlights

For my ring: it's the Ring from the jeweler in New Zealand who made actual movie props

I'm making a mallorn tree and a tree for my old forest. I have lots of little details like journal pages about races or regions. We're getting married in Dec so instead of flowers we're having origami lilies and roses from book pages

I'm also using copies of books for decoration and to elevate short centerpieces

Desserts I'm doing donuts with gold sanding and black speech piping, a replica of ring for cake, and they get cookies with banner designs and an etched wine glass with 1 ring inscription around rim for favors

I'm using lanterns to decoration as well as wooden and printed signage

I completely designed my invitations and wrote our ceremony

We're doing brunch for wedding party, full open bar, supper, dessert, and appetizers after that as people continue drinking

I'm sure I forget more than I list every time I post here but oh well lol
