I grew up by the Sacandaga Resevoir - so right down Rt 30 from where you are. The Lodge is beautiful - such an amazing venue! We had my mom's 60th birthday there and it was fantastic - especially the food - so good! I live in MA now - my fiancee is in Vet school (almost done) so we moved out here a few years ago but we still enjoy going back to my parents and hiking.

We're going down to Vegas for our wedding -- I'm originally from a small town in Ontario, Canada, and he's from a teeeeeeny village in Saskatchewan. It was the cheapest place we could get both families to!!

Out of here! Living in Oklahoma and getting married in Key West! She is a Sooners fan and I'm from Wisconsin and a Packers fan. I got the shirts to help share our wedding date with family and friends.

Even though we moved away, we're returning to our hometown area for the wedding. Our Poughkeepsie NY venue is 20 minutes from my mother's house, 30 minutes from my father's house, and 1 hour from my FH's family's house. We grew up in the Hudson Valley area, but my FH and I live in Brooklyn now, so we'll be traveling further than our immediate families! Smiley tongue

She added SIXTY PEOPLE. yes. 60. Our original guest list had a little over 100. I could kill her. And she said "I eliminated a lot of people!" Not to mention FH's parents have contributed nothing monetarily to the wedding and have made dozens of suggestions, opinions, and negativity towards our choices. UGH. Ever since I stopped mentioning the wedding plans to them it's been a little better...
