I just want to let you know of a terrific website - AGreatAffair.com - it's a cash gift registry. I personally used this registry with my fiance and received enough money to pay for our honeymoon in Hawaii plus part of our wedding expenses. I'd like other brides to know of this website because I think it's a terrific website for those couples who are on a tight budget like I was. If you're interested, please keep reading below. Thanks!

    About AGreatAffair.com:

AGreatAffair.com is a classy cash gift wedding registry that is certainly timely as a lot of couples are having trouble affording the wedding of their dreams. AGreatAffair.com can help you afford the wedding you want, and receive the gifts you would really like without being constrained by what a particular store stocks. AGreatAffair.com allows couples to register for anything, including a honeymoon, paying off loans, a down payment for a home, a favorite charity...

You can even register for wedding expenses. The founders of AGreatAffair.com created this website in a way that is tasteful and fun for the wedding couple, and where it is personal for guests who buy gift segments toward particular gifts rather than writing a check. You, as the couple, ultimately get cash. If you wish, you may also get a complimentary elegant web page (including RSVP function, guest book, etc). Please visit www.AGreatAffair.com, and if you like, create your own customized wedding registry.

@Tee ....I went to Jamaica Last year with my FH for his Bother's wedding. DEFINITELY do the Appleton Rum tour. It was aaawwesome! And bring me back some of that Jamaican Rum Cream. mmm. If you are a coffee drinker get some and try it in your coffee instead of cream and sugar. I think on that tour they take you to one of the falls too. When we went this local (that worked there) took my hand and led me and my FH out into the falls. He asked for my camera and took TONS of photos of us. It was like being in a private photo shoot! And needless to say the pictures were amazing!

We are using honeyfund.com for our registry. The wedding is still five months away, so people haven't bought anything from the site. But I did put a link to our honeyfund site on our weddingwire site, and lots of people have commented what a good idea it is. So it's been a great way to get the word out that we'd rather have cash than stuff. And several people send us cash but didn't do anything on the site. You can see how we set ours up by clicking the registry link at www.weddingwire.com/debandscott.

Thanks Deborah. I did add the direct link to our page on my wedding website through the knot so once the word gets out I hope things will pick up as I am about 6 mos away.
