FH and I are paying for the entire wedding ourselves, which we planned on when planning a large scale event. I took a second job to help with the expenses as a weekend bartender.
One of my friends does barbecue catering as a side hustle and her food is phenomenal! As a gift to us she agreed to cater our rehearsal dinner for 40 people. We are extremely grateful for this!
We originally planned on having it in our backyard and renting tables and chairs. However the bar I worked at has offered for me to have it there for pretty much free. ( I was going to throw a few hundred dollars on the bar for guests drinks and tip the bartender heavily.) I'm just wondering if this would be considered to be extremely tacky?
To me it seems easier- they already have the tables in chairs both inside as well as a nice patio. I also will not have to do all the clean up at my house the night before my wedding. Any feedback would be appreciated!
