Totally lame or no? I REALLY love the Beatles. Sean got me Beatles Rockband for Valentine's Day Was just playing, and was like, I can't decide on a theme/colors, why not use this as a starting point. I was wanting to walk down the aisle to a string quartet of a Beatles song (not sure which one),...

I was wanting to walk down the aisle to a string quartet of a Beatles song (not sure which one), I can use song titles like "All You Need is Love" on STDs, etc. Thoughts? Plus the dress and esp. the veil I want are a little more vintage themed...

I have no idea what to do for colors. My favorite color is purple. Sean would kill for anything Steelers-related. Just a p.s.

Instead of CD's for decorations, could you get some old records?

Get your FH to grow out his hair and get a Beatle's cut lol!

Well, as for colors, I think that's entirely up to your liking. As for the whole beatles theme, I don't think anything's wrong with that. Weddings are moving away from the traditional norm. People use all kinds of themes for their weddings now.

The beatles theme is quite fine in my opinion.

Sean definitely would not grow out his hair haha. He's so self conscious b/c he's got a bald spot and a receding hair line. I'm totally down with him and the GMs wearing those old 70s style suits haha.

Okay, I'm having a Dodger Themed wedding so I may be biased, but I think theme weddings are awesome!! Elegent traditional weddings are cool but sometimes it's nice to do something different and shake things up! If you and your FH could have a lot of fun with it, go for it!! I'm in with the Dodgers theme because FH and I love to the Dodgers and let's face it....guys aren't that into weddings unless you involve them somehow..and that's how I got my FH to be involved. He loves our theme. Smiley smile

Yeah I really wasn't thinking theme at all, in fact the words "a wedding doesn't need a theme" have come out of my mouth. But I couldn't settle on a color scheme to save my life. At least this will give me a jumping off point, and it's fine if I use a million colors.

We played for a Beatles themed wedding last summer (at least as far as the music). We played All You Need is love for the processional, Norwegian Wood for the bride, and I Feel Fine for the recessional. We also included Back in the USSR, Day Tripper, Eleanor Rigby, Grow Old Along With Me, Hard Day's Nigh, Here Comes the Sun, Michelle, Strawberry Fields, When I'm 64, Yellow Submarine, and Yesterday. It was a lot of fun! Good luck!

I just had a moment of genius for this! (it's a big deal, that doesn't happen often!)

Have your "flower girl" sprinkle pennies! Then instead of walking "down the aisle", you are walking down "Penny Lane"

I think it is a great idea. I am having a very small wedding and I was thinking All you need is love as my theme. The girls are going to wear black dresses with red accents. I am still looking for hearts for favors and stuff. As I was doing research I saw other people who had their tables named after Beatles songs and to get the couple to kisss they would sing beatles songs....I think it is a great idea...good luck

I love the blue and purple boards you done. I am biased to the blue since my floweres are going to be heavy in blue and orange.

Love the idea, there are so many songs you can cover everything! Verbatim makes "vinyl" CDs that you can make, with printable center lables, which look like old-fashioned 45s, if you wanted to give a CD of your favorite songs as a favor (something I was considering...).

First dance for us will be "In my life", as I'm a Beatles fan also!

I just had a "Pepperland" wedding...it was awesome! Very colorful with little, tiny hints of the Beatles.
