Honeyfund (i'm getting an error message!) or Gofundme?

We originally set up a Honeyfund and thought that would be a classier way of collecting for our honeymoon fund (we're having what is a destination wedding for most guests so it's also easier on them). We originally set up a Honeyfund and thought that would be a classier way of collecting for our honeymoon fund (we're having what is a destination wedding for most guests so it's also easier on them). But as I've been finalizing our Zola wedding website I haven't been able to successfully sign into Honeyfund. If I press "sign in" or "sign up" I automatically get a 403 error... I haven't managed to log in in months! I tried contacting their customer service and will see what their response is, but it doesn't give me much confidence.

Has this error message happened to anyone else? We are in Germany, and I'm wondering if it might be making the difference, which sucks. But obviously when I originally signed up and started working on it, I managed! So weird... Smiley sad

If Honeyfund doesn't work out, what's everyone's opinions on Gofundme? I really didn't like this idea because in my mind it's for charitable donations and things more important than my honeymoon, but I do see that it's used that way?

Thanks! Smiley smile

**EDIT: we are an international group of people so cash and cheques are probably not the easiest solution for guests either. We live in Europe, but are getting married in the USA. Family and friends are from UK, Europe, China, etc...

Also I am not asking you if you like the idea of us having a honeymoon fund. Smiley heart

I'll check Zola. I only used them for the website and guest RSVPs, but I'll check to see if they do funds in leui of physical gifts.

Wow that does sound like a hassle! I don't mind if the burden is put on us, I just don't want anyone overthinking it (like I obviously am Smiley xd ) so I wanted an online collection + they could do it on their own time and not need to remember to bring along anything.

    Thanks for your personal responses!

Some other women are suggesting Zola or The Knot, and since I'm already on Zola for guest list and website, I'm seeing they have a very easy way to set up funds. Plus we can make it more fun like "help us go on an adventure!" "couples massage" "we'll have a sunset drink on you!" which I thought was sweet because then it feels more like a contribution towards something. Smiley smile
