Honeyfund

Has anyone used Honeyfund?

I just created our registry their and am wondering if guests can see what you’ve received so far? I’ve been stuck between using a cash fund on the Knot or Honeyfund and am now having second thoughts. I linked our Honeyfund to our wedding website and am planning to send our invitations soon and am now wondering if I picked the right registry. Opinions on either site would be helpful.

I am thinking about using Honey fund too. Do you know the guest fee to add money?

I didn't use either, but I have friends who used Honeyfund for their wedding! I couldn't see anything like what the couple had received, but I do remember there being a fee for guests to contribute, as PP mentioned. We ended up just gifting money in a card instead.

    Hi PK,

According to the site there is a 2.4% transaction fee for credit or debit cards and a 2.9% fee for paypal payments with a $0.30 fee per transaction. I decided to go with Honeyfund because we choose to either incur the fee or have our guests incur the fee. Given that they are giving us a gift, I felt it was only fair for us to incur the fee.

Here’s the link to the fees, https://www.honeyfund.com/honeymoon-fund.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks Alexis. From what I read we can pick for us to incur the fee. My sister just gave us a gift and didn’t say she was charged a fee so I’m hoping I set it up right.

    Stella,

Thank you for the information. I'm still trying to decide. I may just do a Wishing Well and provide my guest with our PayPal and Zelle information.

We have had friends use Honeyfund. All of those sites take a cut of whatever your guests give, so we opted not to use any sort of registry system at all and guests just gave us cash/checks if they wanted to.

I had friends who wanted funds specifically for their honeymoon, but they just mentioned that on their website and didn't use an agency to process those funds and people just gave them cash/checks with cards at their wedding. There really isn't a need for a third party to be involved, IMO.
