Instead of doing a traditional registry, my fiancé and I set up a Honeyfund. But so far, NO ONE has donated to it and we’re starting to get a little nervous. We still have 7 months until the wedding, but we were thinking the sooner we get the word out the more time we have to raise money. Is anyone else doing a Honeyfund? Has it been successful for you? Can you give me some tips? Please and thank you!

Thank you so much for making an informative reply and not one that is shaming or condescending! I appreciate your advice!

It’s encouraging to hear that someone else had success with it. We didn’t include it on the wedding invitation but it’s on our wedding website which is also on our invitations. Do you think that will work?

I didn't personally do a wedding website for my guest. I knew no one from my family would look at it since they are more old fashioned.

It sounded like you were expecting your guest list to contribute/give gifts seven months before your wedding and you were relying on that before booking your honeymoon. That’s all I meant. Perhaps we have all misunderstood your concerns.

Well, I don't think you should consider it as a 100% refund for your Honeymoon... that can be payed in advance by your guests Smiley winking They will probably give something near the wedding...
