Honeyfund

Imani, on March 14, 2022 at 9:57 AM Posted in Honeymoon 4 12
Is anyone planning to use Honeyfund for Honeymoon contributions? I am trying to decide if I want to use this option or have a card box at the gift table.

Honestly I think both would be a good way to go. You could include a link to your Honeyfund on your website so people could contribute to it earlier if they'd like, but you'll probably still have most guests bring a card to the wedding. At least, that's what's common in my social circle!

That would work! I can add it to the registry page. I didn’t even think about that.

I've added a Honeyfund link to my registry. My MOH used Honeyfund when she got married a decade ago and it worked out fantastically. People loved knowing that they were helping them to have a great experience. We have a small number of physical items on a registry, but then mainly the Honeyfund. We're getting married on the west coast, but I'm from the east coast, and due to the time of the year, we are not inviting anyone from the east coast (we're having a separate party for them a few months later), so our "guest list" is closer to twice what we are actually expecting to be at our wedding. We just don't need that much stuff to have enough things on the registry for (theoretically) each person to buy us one thing. Honeyfund for us, is a way for any of our friends and family who want to get us something.

I plan on, in our thank you cards, giving an insight into what they helped us experience. Since I can't say "thanks for the mixer, I can't wait to make cupcakes with it!" or what have you, I'm going to add something along the lines of "thanks so much for your thoughtful gift, we enjoyed a fantastic dinner in Milan because of it" or whatever.

Thank you Orianna! Yeah - I think that’s what I will do because we do not have much on our registry and honestly it’s stuff we really don’t need.

Make sure you read the fine print not sure about the one you mentioned but some honeymoon registry sites charge a fee.

I think a honeymoon fund is a great idea and you'd definitely utilize the money to make your honeymoon experience amazing.

we're doing a money card box for our wedding.

Thanks Amanda! Question about the card box - are you doing a personalized box?
