Honeymoon 2021?

Namanda, on November 16, 2020 at 1:09 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 18
Is anyone actually going on a honeymoon next year? Is it worth trying to go somewhere or is it better to just postpone it to 2022 or later? My only worry is we'll never get a real honeymoon.

Side note: we haven't actually booked anything. We are still looking into travel agent assistance. We want to do something in June but now I'm starting to wonder if it's worth stressing over.

I'm not going anywhere. I don't see the point unless I go sonewhere with a very low population and atay in a house/cabin in the middle if nowhere.

We had to reschedule our wedding from 2020 to Fall of 2021. We made the decision not to even try to book a honeymoon for next year, especially with cases soaring again and travel restrictions for Americans still in place. We are hoping things will be settled down enough for us to have our “honeymoon” on our one year anniversary in 2022 🤞🏻

I think that depends on what you’re wanting for your honeymoon... there are plenty of places within the US that are able to make for a romantic, adventurous honeymoon. There are very nice Inns and resorts on either coast. We stayed at an Inn for a few days and did not run into more than like 3 people and they were 40 far away. I know people that have flown to the islands and Mexico for their honeymoon and felt more safe there than in the states. Cabins in the mountains out west are something we are looking into right now. My friend and her husband are in Hilton Head right now renting an air BnB and just doing picnics everyday.
Lots of options if you’re open!

We haven't and aren't booking anything out of the country until things get much better with COVID. I would book in the US depending on the number of cases, but for right now I refuse to travel.

As of right now our honeymoon is booked with Sandals Resorts for February. They told us everything is still fine enough to go. We haven't even bought plane tickets yet. We're not sure what to do at this point. If we do end up not going in February, we're hoping we can go for our one year anniversary.

We booked Hawaii and are planning on going June 2021 hopefully. The trip is refundable and can be used anytime before Dec 2021.

We postponed our honeymoon (Hawaii) to May 2021 and are very hopeful that we will be able to go! I would say just book something with a refund (there are so many options now), and hope for the best!

We aren’t planning one, just planning on an anniversary trip whenever it becomes an option.

I booked our honeymoon before all this COVID crap starting happening. Plan on going to a Sandals resort in Jamaica for 7 days in April. Our flight leaves the Monday after our wedding. Fingers crossed that we still get to go.

We booked a cruise to the Bahamas last year that we planned to be a nice getaway trip for this year, but when COVID hit and everything changed we paid a small fee to transfer the dates of our cruise to the same time period but for 2021. In which it turned out to be the month after our wedding, so we are in the hopes that everything can/will get sorted out for us to go on our "honeymoon" cruise next year. Hopefully all will work out, but I guess time will tell.

I’m too Type A to plan a honeymoon five times over because of COVID, so we will just wait until things settle down and I only have to plan once. Lol

My fiancee and I are planning our honeymoon at Washington DC this coming February 2021, I'm a little worried because their requiring all travelers to have a negative COVID test 72 hours before departure and arrival, and I'm trying to get the timing right. Don't know if I should get the test one day before our wedding, or two days before to allow for time to get the results.

This is my worry, too. Originally planned to go on our honeymoon the week after our March 6th 2021 wedding but I have no clue what the right answer is, and we need to pull the trigger now and make a decision. Originally we planned on Costa Rica, and then we talked about maybe a smaller scale trip to Mexico (we live in Florida, so it's a quick trip). I hate the idea of postponing, but I don't even know what the travel regulations currently are, and I worry with my job (I'm a teacher) I'll be forced to quarantine for 14 days when we return if we go out of country, or even out of state! Everything is so up in the air, it's making it hard to come to a decision. Not much advice for you, just letting you know you aren't alone! Hugs.
