Honeymoon Activities in San Diego?

Nicole, on May 8, 2018 at 8:26 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 8
Hello everyone,
I'm getting married next month and we are going on a week trip to San Diego CA. Our hotel is the paradise resort and spa, I think. Where would be some nice places to eat or some cool places to go and have fun. We will be trying to Uber and walk everywhere. We can't afford to rent a car and pay for parking, ect...
Thank you in advance

Sorry I forgot!! I like the ocean, jet sking, eating good food, and relaxing. My fiance likes to relax, he loves cars, and pretty much does what I want to do. Smiley smile

You can go snorkeling in La Jolla Cove and/or rent a kayak. Also, go to Torrey Pines for an easy hike with awesome ocean views. You can have a picnic in Balboa Park (alcohol is allowed in certain areas). For jet skiing, I've gone near fiesta island (but I don't know if they rent them, I went with friends), also in Carlsbad but it's too far for you. It's honestly going to get pricy to Uber everywhere, SD is place where you need a car.
Cool neighborhoods to check out: Birdrock (pretty Beach area), Ocean Beach (a bit hippie), Hillcrest (gay neighborhood, fun with lots of restaurants), North Park (used to be artsy neighborhood, now it's suuuuper popular), Normal Heights (what NP used to be), Barrio Logan (up and coming neighborhood, there are still some rough areas), South and University Heights (both super cute neighborhoods with lots of restaurants and cafes)

For classic touristy stuff: You can check out Old Town for Mexican food (although the food sucks but depending where you're from you may like it), and the area is cute. Of course, downtown - sea port village and gas lamp

I agree with what PP said but wanted to add if you like dessert check out a place called Extraordinary Desserts nearish to Gas Lamp.

I also agree with what they said about the Uber. Same Diego is extremely spread out and it would be impossible to walk everywhere and your Uber will probably add up to a rental car.

For more ideas, there was a post yesterday about a honeymoon in Coronado & San Diego.

My favorite brewery is in San Diego (Stone Brewery). Stop they there for a beer (there are a few locations) and they have the best mac and cheese!!! Have fun!

It depends where in San Diego you are staying, but La Jolla beaches are super pretty and offer snorkeling or scuba diving. Del Mar is fun too, lots of downtown walking areas. Coronado is really pretty but kind of a drive. The USS Midway is a big navy ship docked in San Diego and they do tours!

Have you decided on what you're going to do while vacationing in San Diego?
