I have celiacs and cannot handle gluten at all. I am a little scared to be away from home and be able to eat safely. I know when i go to friends, i pack my own food. Tell me, where have you gone and what did you eat?

Call or email the resort. You are not the only person who has an issue. FTR, I knew a girl 30 years ago who had anaphylactic reactions to fish and nuts and still was able to travel to the Caribbean with her family.

I stayed at an all-inclusive in Curaçao (Sunscape). All their on resort restaurant menus had markings for vegetarian and gluten-free menus.

You can probably ask resorts directly before you book if you have any specific places in mind.

Our travel agent actually recommended where to go and where not to go based on this. Make sure you use one that has experience with places and accommodating allergies!

Another person with gluten issues going to Sandals. We are getting married there and they are even making my cake gluten free. I was so surprised at how quick they are to accommodate and I had resigned myself to having no cake for my wedding.
