Honeymoon beach bag

I like the canvas style, especially if they are washable. If you bring a few plastic bags, you can keep things like phone & keys sand-free too!

I don't think it necessarily needs to be waterproof, but having a zipper on top is a requirement for me! I'll be using a cheap waterproof nylon backpack from Walmart (clearance yay!). It has small pockets on the sides and front which is handy. It's comfortable, hands-free, and cute

Jersey shore girl here! A canvas bag that was water repellent on the outside with pockets and a top zipper was my go to for YEARS. It never ripped. Straps never tore, and it dried quickly. When my FH and I moved in together and needed a bigger bag, we got this bag from Vera Bradley: https://www.verabradley.com/us/product/Drawstring-Family-Tote/21624-21624M35 it's big enough to hold all of our belongings including snorkeling masks, big lay-down towel and two towels for personal use. We really like the water repellent material on the outside. The one pocket on the inside is disappointing, but we keep our phones in those underwater bags because we like to take them snorkeling with us.

I know you said you were looking for something on Amazon, so I'd see if you can find a bag that has the water repellent material and that closes on the top.
