I live in Florida and work for all inclusive resorts in Mexico. I would probably go with resorts in Cancun. Key West isn't what many think and honestly their is way more to do in Mexico! I would check out Secrets Playa Mujeres or Secrets The Vine. Both are very nice!

I'v been to Key West and i would definitely go to Cancun, MX instead. The beaches in Key West are nothing like the picture, when i was there last July i went to about 3 of them that i had seen and oh boy, i mean nothing like i was expecting. It was rocky and i wasn't even able to go in the beach, because it was full of seaweeds...

I'm going to Key West in May for the first time just because I got the flight free and I am still kind of regretting it. Lodging costs are ABSURD. For what you pay to stay somewhere halfway decent in Key West you can get over the top luxury in Mexico.

Most people in tourist areas (especially in service industry jobs) speak English and there is a TON to do. Though I agree with one of the previous posters that I prefer outlying areas to Cancun proper. Lastly, I find it kinda funny that people are saying there is more "historical" stuff to do in Key West, since I am not aware of any ancient Mayan ruins in Florida.

Don't be afraid to seek the advice of a travel consultant for this. You may learn different things and can get many options presented to you that you may not have thought of, all at no additional cost to you.
