My fiance and I have been tossing around many idea for our honeymoon. She is currently 27 weeks expecting a baby boy. We had picked Victoria BC early on. But have backed off that due to distance and temperatures. She gets cold easily and low 70's have been a big hesitation for us. But we loved so many things we could do in Victoria. We have thrown around a number of beaches from Kennebunkport, Martha's Vineyard, Desert Island, Berkahires, Florida Keys, Little St Simons and the Outter Banks. She is a bigtime beach girl. But we worry about lacking that memorable feel.
We have locked in on Montana now. Spending our first four days doing some rockhounding for Amythyst, Saphires and smokies. Spending a day in Glacier National Park. Then spending our last three days exploring Yellowatone. We picked out a gorgeous option with stunning mountain views to stay in. But my hesitant is all the driving I will need to do. Six plus hours from our location to GNP. Then from that point a couple days later another 5 plus hours down to Yellowstone. The itinerary sounds lovely outside of all the time spent behind the wheel of a rental. We have talked and Montana is more of a once in a lifetime trip for us. While we can be on beaches every summer. Experiencing a new fun location. Totally torn and getting a little gun shy to pull the trigger. But that voice in my head keeps saying this is a lot on me and her. Should we take the leap and enjoy the natural beauty of the parks? While missing out on some things she would love to do like horseback riding and white water rafting due to the pregnancy. For a more relaxing beach getaway. Or do we just bundle her up and see all that Victoria has to offer?
