Honeymoon Destinations

Excellence Playa Mujeres and we bought about 6 months out.

Islamorada, Fl - the upper keys (at the same venue / resort we’re getting married at).


I booked back in June for our October wedding but it was Covid and rates were really low.
As far as bookings go, just depends on where you want to go and what you want to do.

We were going to do Hong Kong/Bali/Singapore/Tokyo/Hawaii and had bought it out about 4 months before departure date (which was about 4 weeks after our wedding). However, about a month before our wedding (once started hearing about Covid in Asia), we changed our plans to Australia/New Zealand/Fiji/Hawaii. Lockdowns happened about 3 weeks after our wedding (a week before we were supposed to leave) so we ended up having to cancel our trip.


So now we have no idea when we’re going to take it. lol. Our original Asia trip would have been around $10-12k.

2 nights in Topanga/Malibu

2 nights in San Francisco/Berkeley

2 nights in Big Sur/Monterey

Booked about 4 months in advance on airbnb!

Our honeymoon is in February. We'll be spending a week in St. Lucia through Sandals Resorts. I'm not sure when it was booked or how much it cost because it's gifted by my mother.

We went to Disney World for 7 nights/8 days. It had to have been booked within 6 months of us getting engaged, since we were only engaged for that long. I have no idea when or how much though, because it was a gift from my in-laws.

We did Disney/Universal, but booked "late" - only about 4 months before. Our budget was around $3k, for 5 nights/6 days.

We’re doing a mini honeymoon for now and then a real honeymoon when everything calms down. We only spent about 700-800 on the honeymoon. We’re staying in an apartment style suit. Congratulations and best wishes🖤

We did a road trip to the mountains for a week and spent about 3k on lodging and food

We going to the VA mountains. We booked the short trip back in May and we’re getting married in 3 weeks. I know October is high demand for mountain cabins so I wanted to make sure we had it early. The cabin is only $2-300, were only staying 2 nights and probably only spending a little more than that for food and gas. And getting my car cleaned good before the wedding.

We got married in Feb 2020 before the pandemic. We went on a 5 day cruise that took us to Key West and Cozumel Mexico and we had a room with a balcony. It was so much fun with all of the activities and excursions. Plus we participated in marriage/newlywed game on board. Our honeymoon was about $900. We booked it 3months before the wedding.

We have booked a Disney Honeymoon. Spent about $5k for 8 days. It includes fast passes and park tickets. Also added in Discovery Cove and a day at the day resort. We booked about two weeks ago and will be going summer 2021

We had fully booked Hokkaido, Japan last year... but that had to be cancelled. We have booked flights again for next August - so 16 days in Hokkaido as long as we can get into Japan. The cool thing about canceling is it meant we had enough points to book first class round trip from Colorado for the hopeful next summer trip!
