Honeymoon during Hurricane season?

If you haven't been to Asheville, NC I would highly recommend it if you enjoy the outdoors, beer, AND wine! It's about 45 minutes away from me and we make day trips over all the time. There are some BEAUTIFUL hotels and you can also check out the Biltmore. Biltmore has a fantastic winery, but Asheville is known for all of their breweries. For hotels check the Inn at Biltmore Estate, Omni Grove Park Inn (they have an incredible spa), and the Grand Bohemian. The leaves generally start changing a bit during this time of year, and if you have never seen the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Fall it is a beautiful sight! If you have any questions totally let me know! I know a lot of people also love the Outer Banks in North Carolina.

Don't have the honeymoon right after?

Stay away from Atlantic and the gulf, head to Cali if not wanting international. It’s super risky to travel in September on that side! If you do decide to go international, Aruba!!! Not in the hurricane belt at all!

California or Hawaii?

If you do consider international, FH and I are looking into Aruba or Fiji for August.

I will also add that FH and I are also getting married in early September and we are going to Grenada since it is below the hurricane belt!

FH and I are getting married mid september and have chosen to go to Hawaii for that reason!

If you can, do Hawaii! My FH and I were just there this September and it was amazing.

Come to the west coast! I love central CA beaches in September...they're a little chilly but WAY less crowded and still beautiful.

I would say wherever you go, make sure you purchase the added insurance. We went to Antigua during hurricane season and what did you know, a hurricane actually came. We purchased insurance at were able to get back all of the money we spent trying to get home. It was well worth the added money for peace of mind
