Honeymoon fund registry

Sami, on April 21, 2018 at 8:53 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 6
My fiance and I would love to add a registry for people to donate to our honeymoon as a gift. Found a could sites online but not sure who and what to trust. Does anyone have any suggestions?

They all take a fee so I wouldn’t recommend any honestly. People usually just put cash into an envelope and gift money that way. With that, you two will get all of the coinage lol.

I agree. Skip the sites. Most guests will give cash. Then you will have the whole amount and have it readily available. Many times those sites take 2 weeks or more for you to receive a check for a portion of the original gift..

Also, a lot of people view honeymoon funds/experience gifting as greedy, as it’s directly asking for money, which socially is a no-no. People will likely give you more cash/check gifts in a card at your wedding than if you virtually stick your hand out.

People know that cash is a good gift, you don't need a registry for that. Just have a small physical registry, or none at all, and people will know.

Every honeyfund I've ever seen takes a fee from you or your guests and provides no other service than handing you the money after they take a fee.

Don't register. Most people know that money is a good gift and will give money in lieu of a physical gift if you don't have a registry.
