Honeymoon Fund: When do people usually contribute?

So my family has already given us our gifts, but my partner's still haven't contributed to the wedding at all. We still had to figure out our honeymoon, so my husband decided to create a honeymoon fund. With the wedding happening in two months I just wonder when do people usually start contributing...

Last time I went to a wedding I contributed to the honeymoon fund as soon as I had the information, like 4 months before the ceremony.

I think it honestly has to do with the people who are buying. I hear that a lot will bring money with them, I hear that some will buy early, some will buy way closer to the day, others wont buy until after the wedding and some wont at all. It really comes down to who the gifters are.

We went to a friend's wedding this past Saturday and contributed to their honeymoon fund on Thursday. Unless it's for a shower, I like to give wedding gifts/contributions right around the time of the wedding.

I don't usually contribute to honeyfunds, I take cash or a check with me to the wedding. We got half money and half physical gifts at our wedding.
Of my friends who have done honeyfunds, I think they usually start to roll in the week or day of the wedding when people start looking into what to gift you.
