My fiance & I really have no need for a gift registry. How many of you are actually doing have done a wishing well for honeymoon funds?

I don’t know what a wishing well is. All the gifts from our registries were bought prior to our wedding. At our wedding we had a card box out where people put cards. Some of them contained cash or checks.

I just wouldn't register, and people will gift cash or checks!

I've only ever seen a wishing we'll at a shower for kitchen gadgets really. I wouldn't do one for cash. If you don't want a gift registry, either don't register or do a honeyfund. If you do a honeyfund you may be charged fees if you want instant access to it. If you can wait for a check, there are no fees.

I would decline a shower though since you are not registering for gifts.

I created a honeymoon fund through Travellers Joy. I like it because it looks like a registry and give people the ability to "buy me something". For example they can contribute money to a Gator Tour.

Registry information or gifts of any kind should never be mentioned in wedding invitations.

There’s actually websites where people can donate to the honeymoon fund. Acts like a registry.

Ugh, I've been dealing with this lately too! My fiance and I have been dating for the better part of a decade and have everything we need by now. We also intend to move quickly after the wedding and don't want to lug around a bunch of physical gifts. So, with these factors in mind, I just set up our registry at Blueprintregistry.com and only included two cash funds: one for our honeymoon and one a first home fund. I included a heartfelt note indicating no gifts were needed, but helping us launch into married life by contributing to either fund would be graciously appreciated. I still can't help but feel a little awkward about it since I know some people consider this to be a faux pas, but we really don't need physical gifts and have taken quite the financial beating throughout this process. About a week ago we even considered not booking a honeymoon because of the finances. We've since reconsidered, but may be modifying for a shorter trip. In our situation, it just seems like the cash registry is the best fit.

I like it....alot of people dont know what to buy and don't have time to shop. So a gift of money to help with the honeymoon sounds reasonable to me. Good luck!

We mentioned our honeymoon registry on our website (not invitations). Wedding websites often have a space for you to link your online registries. We’re using withjoy.com for our wedding website. But there are tons to choose from.

I’ve never heard of a wishing well for a wedding but sounds cute!!
On our registry, there’s an option for a honeymoon fund so we added that as well as a house fund. We have a few gifts on there as well but think most people will contribute to a honeymoon or house🤞🏽😂

I'm thinking about it myself. Japan is not cheap and we have most things we need.
