Honeymoon ideas (US destinations)

Charleston, SC; anywhere in Maine, but I love the Portland, Camden, and Bar Harbor areas; Gatlinburg, TN.

We haven't been out West much, but are looking to maybe take a road trip in that direction for our honeymoon next year.

There are so many amazing places in the US. What do you like to do? What kind of honeymoon are you imagining- relaxing, adventurous, nightlife, what kind of activities, etc... We could give you better recommendations with more information on what you are looking for.

Las Vegas, Florida, New Orleans, it really depends on what type of weather you like abs what type of activities you’d like to do!

I second New Orleans or if you haven’t come to California. Would be great in California

It all depends on what you like to do.

DH and I did Disney/Universal. We are not beach people, we live in the NYC metro area, and we're nerds.

But there's everything from big cities to visit, to national parks, to beaches, to weird, cool little tourist "traps".

It's a big country!

We keep bouncing around ideas like Key West, Hilton Head, Charleston, New Orleans, Myrtle Beach, the Finger Lakes, etc... We are getting married in the Outer Banks and looking to stay on the East Coast. But it's tough to choose for next summer with this summer being so crazy.

As a native, I'm clearly biased, but most people love CA.... For people from other parts of the country, I usually recommend San Diego because it has tons of options for things to do, but not the craziness of LA. There are definitely touristy areas and a variety of activities, but it's also a big enough city/county that you can find some more seclusion and privacy as well.
