Honeymoon Locations

Covid has really threw a monkey wrench in honeymoon planning. Every time I narrow down a location either numbers start spiking on its on the CDCs hotspots. I’m thinking about going to Disney or Universal studios again. Where are you planning on going for your honeymoon and why?

The Bahamas would be nice. I would love a tropical vacation. I love being able to see the wildlife while swimming.

I'm down for Disney all the time, to the point where I can have a 5 day vacation planned in 2 hours. You're in good company Smiley smile

I 100% agree. we had to cancel our cruise because of the vaccine mandate. so i've been looking at florida keys. I recently went to florida for a girls trip with my mom. masks werent required for guests, but the employees at locations were wearing them. and I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The keys look gorgeous and it seems it would be less stressful trying to plan because there aren't alot of restrictions.

We booked a cabin the Smokey Mountain of Tennessee. It's secluded and romantic but still within driving distance (about 20 mins) to all the towns and fun activities like zip lining.

We were supposed to go to Hawaii like others but postponed our trip since covid numbers spiked and a lot of things are operating at reduced capacity right now. We will hopefully go on that trip in the spring.

In the meantime, we are going to Disney for 5 days (we live in Orlando so this is basically a stay-cation for us) and then traveling to Virginia for a few days to enjoy the wine country area and mountains.

I’m so jealous. My fiancé said no adult wants to go to Disney as his argument point. I laughed and said trust me their are a lot of adults who love Disney just as much as me.

We decided to stay in our home state of California until there are less travel restrictions. We live in Southern California & getting married in December so we decided to take a few days to go to Northern California and stay at a nice cabin in the Yosemite/Mammoth area.

I would LOVE to go to Disney World and Universal Orlando as a Honeymoon lol. I live and grew up going to Disneyland and Universal Hollywood and I've been a pass holder to both and go all the time but haven't been to Florida yet but its definitely on the bucket list!

We’re going to Hawaii for our honeymoon. It will be my third time there and it never gets old. But we selected Hawaii for the honeymoon because it’s beautiful and also because I didn’t want to leave the country right now (Hawaii is also where FH proposed. So it’s like we’re coming full circle). We live in SoCal (San Diego specifically) and it’s almost always beautiful here. So, I felt like there was no other state besides Hawaii that makes me feel like a true “honeymoon getaway”, in terms of the culture, music, food, sightseeing and overall island vibe.

I’ve heard really nice things about Yosemite. Hopefully you make it soon. I haven’t been in 5 years and I was pregnant so I’m dying to get back.

We are going to the Poconos the following day after our wedding. We had thought about Puerto Rico or the DR, but decided against those choices because our kids will be starting school the week after the wedding. So we will plan to go to Puerto Rico and the DR later.

    Hi there,

We are planning St.John’s in the USVI fevrurary 2022! We were attracted to the fact that it’s in the carribean, is a romantic getaway for nature enthusiasts (a large portion of St.Johns is a national park) we live in Ohio and the flight is about 6 hours and we will be in the same time zone, best if all no passports Smiley smile
    Good luck to you!

We are getting married November 26,2022. So right after Thanksgiving! We plan on doing a mini moon at spa/resort that Sunday and Monday after the wedding. I am a teacher so in the past that Monday after Thanksgiving is normally a day off work for working extra hours for parent teacher conference. We plan on going on our real honeymoon in 2023. Not sure where I want an all inclusive resort but he doesn’t want Mexico, so we will have to start looking.

Yeah trying to get a passport right now is a waste of time. Even with express its still more than 12 weeks.
