Honeymoon love making ;)

Sarah, on June 4, 2014 at 12:03 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 10

Hello beauties!

My love and I will be getting married in 10 days!!! Which is crazy that it is coming so fast, but we are both so ready. Speaking of ready, we are ready to finally be able to make love!! We have waited 5 years and now the time has almost come. But I need some help please Smiley smile

We both are virgins and we hear some things might not be so fun (UTI, rawness for him down there, etc) while we have sex.

Does anyone have any tips or advice from any of these things so that we can be prepared?!?

Thank you so much!!!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! That is definitely a long wait, I'm sure you are VERY ready ;-)

For UTIs I actually have a prescription from the doctor of a low dosage antibiotic that I take after having sex to prevent UTIs. However there are some ways to prevent them without antibiotics. Cranberries are great (you can get cranberry supplements in the vitamin section) and if you get cranberry juice make sure it has a high concentration of fruit (a lot of sugar isn't good). Also if you use the bathroom right after the fun that will also help.

For rawness, lube may help. Also for starters going slow might be better for both of you to prevent some rawness.

Have a lot of fun on the honeymoon, I'm sure you will!

Go slow, communicate with each other and lube is always a good idea!

Lube....that will help prevent any rawness.

Go pee right after. This I a good habit for both of you. Helps prevent UTI.

Slow...communicate...relax. it takes a while to get to know yourself and what you want/need and even longer to get in a good space with that knowledge and a partner. Talking things out in a casual setting like breakfast in bed or evening cocktails (not right after in bed...that always feels awkward for me) ...it is lso important to get comfortable talking about sex, desires, dreams and fantasy....

I am excited for you! Enjoy!

Don't expect it to be like in the movies. It can take time and practice to learn each other bodies and how they respond to each other. Just go slow...Jessica's advice about peeing right after is on point!

Congrats on your wedding, and enjoy the heck out of your honeymoon! Smiley smile

Everyone else has great advice about avoiding UTI's, so my advice is to not skimp on the foreplay. You've been waiting for a long time, so it's tempting to rush in to the main event, but that's where the rawness/chafing can become a problem. Because if you're nervous and he's nervous and you try to rush things, there's not likely to be enough lubrication. (Unless you bring some, which is also a good idea)

Take some time to touch, explore, get excited before you dive into the intercourse part.

And Maltese is absolutely right. Don't expect it to be magic the first time. While it might be, and you'd be very lucky, it can take a lot of experimentation to find out and perfect what works for both of you!

Maltese, thank you. Real life isn't a movie, so your first time having sex may not be ground breaking, but it's always fun to practice!

Coach each other through everything. Have fun experimenting. Yes, get into the habit of peeing right after.

I'm not sure what religious belief you guys have, but be sure you have protection (condoms, birth control pills, etc.) of some kind if you aren't looking to make babies right away. Personally, I'd have fun coaching each other before looking to make a baby Smiley winking

Then you have to come back and tell us how it went!

Go pee before and pee after it helps prevent UTI's from happening.
