So ladies, if you had the choose of a big wedding or long honeymoon, knowing it's not in your budget to really have both what would you decide on? I have chosen a small simple wedding and a long honeymoon. Do you think it's the right choice?

Big wedding. We are doing this one time. I hope to honeymoon a lot with my FH over the course of our life together.

It's really a personal choice. We choose the "big" wedding and a "smaller" honeymoon. We made the right choice. I was honestly REALLY worried about it not being worth it. And, it completely was. As of right now, it was the best day of my whole life. There's something to be said about being surrounded by 150 of your favorite people- its magical. It was perfect.

Yes, we spent 30K+ on our wedding for 150 people. Yes, that's a lot of money. Yes, it was sometimes super stressful. But, the weekend of, it was SO worth it. We've heard from everyone that it was the best wedding they've ever attended. Food was fantastic, booze flowed, and the DJ killed it. My husband and I have never laughed so much, danced so much, and felt so loved.

We did 6 nights in Key West following our wedding, which was much cheaper than an elaborate, long, international honeymoon. I am SO glad we did not travel internationally following our wedding. I would've been stressed to the max trying to pack for weeks, organize passports, etc. It was a perfect choice for us. We are taking a big trip to New Zealand next year, and it worked for us! We were happy to get away for a few days, but it wasn't huge.
