Honeymoon- Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana or Secrets Cap Cana?

Hi ya'll, I am planning a honeymoon for October 2019. It will be the last week of October into the first week of November. I know I have plenty of time but I am a planner and am looking for the best possible honeymoon experience. We are considering Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana or Secrets Cap Cana. Also, would be interested in Jamaica if it has what we are looking for. We are looking for a fun and exciting but also relaxing honeymoon. We like the nightlife and partying as well as the quiet. We also like the beach and ocean. Looking for something that has all of these things. Any advice helps.

    We just got back from Secrets Royal Beach and loved it! It's a bit of an older resort, but it's clean and nicely decorated. We were looking for the same kind of vibe as you - mainly relaxing but also lots of options of things to do - which is why we chose it. They always had something going on, but we had plenty of time and space to relax too. We stayed in the preferred club, which definitely helped with the ease of finding a spot by the pool or on the beach.

    The food was decent, and I'd guess it would be pretty similar at any all-inclusive resort. The only two drawbacks we had were: 1-the ocean had a lot of seaweed except during high tide and 2-room service really sucked (we had to talk to 3 different people to place our order and then it took 2 hours. H's burger was good but my nachos were pathetic).

    I hear Cap Cana is newer and nicer, but we were very happy with our stay at Royal Beach. I think it was slightly cheaper too.

    edit: There were a few storms brewing during our week there, so the excessive seaweed could have been because of that. I don't know if it's always like that.
