We splurged smartly. We chose Hawaii which is a splurge considering we’re on the east coast but I did it the cheapest way possible!

I think we’re going to be saving by doing something more local and just trying to enjoy each other and unplug from our daily lives.

I am of the mindset that your honeymoon is the time to splurge, if you afford to do so! It's a way to celebrate your nuptials and start your life as husband and wife. If you can do it, I say splurge on your honeymoon!!! It's a vacation you won't regret spending the extra on. We went on a Princess cruise to the Caribbean. It was so luxurious and relaxing, we had a wonderful time!

Splurge? My FFIL has a timeshare that he is booking for us and FMIL is paying for our flight but we will be gone a little more than a week and the place is fancy so our food and drinks will probably add up.

I’d say both, but probably more on the splurge side. My fiancé and I will likely have a mini moon after our wedding in September 2020, location TBD but probably not further than a few hours away from home. Then we plan on going on our “official” honeymoon in April 2021 to Italy and England. April is a cheaper time to travel to both, at least according to my research, and I’m going to utilize either Costco Travel or a local travel specialist to see what deals I can find. I know it won’t be super cheap, though, but we’ve dreamed of visiting both countries for so long.

Splurging-ish. It will probably cost about what the average honeymoon costs. Iceland, Ireland, and the Azores. Air BnBing and doing two-way tickets at each of the chekpoints to cut costs. Also, spending the most time in the Azores where the cost of living is the lowest Smiley winking

Save. We want to have a big wedding and a simple honeymoon. Not planning anything too extravagant. Maybe a 5 day cruise in the off-season.

Both? By the time we take our honeymoon, we will have enough Marriott points to spend a week in Japan (where we ant to go for our honeymoon since I lived there for 6 years) and have enough miles to only have to pay for plane tickets for one of us.

We’re splurging and saving. We want to go and relax for a while but don’t want to spend a ton of money so we’re hoping to do both by using his in-laws condo in Hawaii. That would save us a ton of money 🤞🏾

Splurge! We are going to Hawaii and Kauai. We’ve got everything we want to do figured out we just have to book it. We’re gonna do hiking, kayaking, ATVing, ziplining, tubing, beaching, shopping. Lol. Lots of fun ahead, I can’t wait!

I would say a small splurge. We booked a butler Villa in Jamaica through Sandals for 8 days. We are leaving the day after the wedding. It will be the most expensive and longest trip we have been on, but definitely not the limit.

    Save.

We already had a cruise booked for November of 2020 so we are going to upgrade that one to a suite and call it our honeymoon. We travel all the time anyway so while it's a big deal it's not the biggest trip we will ever take.

We are splurging! we had an intimate wedding in order to really enjoy a luxurious honeymoon. We are debating between Paris and London or Chile and Argentina.

It’s a bit of a splurge, but not ridiculously so. Just a cabin in the mountains for Sat-Mon. I mean a hotel would’ve been cheaper, but he and I have been thinking about a cabin for months.

I think for ours we will be doing some slight splurging, overall im very savvy with saving anywhere i can and still enjoying myself. But our honeymoon im willing to splurge a little. I was thinking either Hawaii or a nice cruise.

I'm willing to splurge here too. I think after the stress and misery of spending over 3 years long distance, that we deserve a good holiday together. 💞
