Honeymoon suites...how do you find them?

Samantha, on August 13, 2013 at 9:11 AM Posted in Honeymoon 1 9

I feel stupid for asking this, but as I am looking through hotels for our wedding night, I can't seem to find anything that even remotely resembles a honeymoon suite. We want something with a tub for two in the room. We are looking to hopefully go to Chicago or something, but I can't even seem to find how you would find that sort of thing...

Try looking at more upscale places like the Westin, the Gaylord or Hilton. They typically have them. I would call, sometimes websites are weird and don't show everything they have. It could also be called the Presidential suite and not the honeymoon suite.

Most hotels have them, so narrow your options down and just call and see if they have one available.

Some of them might not be called 'Honeymoon Suite', but fit the bill just fine. Our room is called the Diplomat Suite, but is free with our wedding ballroom rental.

If you're going to Chicago check out the Drake hotel. I've always wanted to stay at that place because it looks awesome. Although I have no idea if there are tubs like that in the rooms. Try calling around to different hotels.

Best thing is to call the hotel direct.

We stayed at a Holiday Inn and our honeymoon suite had a tub in the room.

Are you having a hotel block for guests? Some hotels will throw in a free room with say 10 rooms booked. Look into that also.

Yeah I would search for “suite” or “presidential suite” or something more generic. I’m sure most hotels have some type of suite but it’s probably listed under another name. Ours is called a “king suite”
