Honeymoon the day after your wedding?

FH and I are going on our honeymoon the day after the wedding

I wanted to go the day after our wedding but I decided to wait because I want for us to be here to take our son trick or treating, he'll be three. Leaving on our honeymoon the week after our wedding instead now

We are waiting until the following month to leave which will be around valentines day which is also my birthday. We thought why not make it a birthday/honeymoon trip.

We are! Our flight leaves at 8am the next day. We'll have to be up at 4:30 though. It's the only part I'm really not looking forward too.

We're planing to leave the day after, but our hotel for after the wedding is just a couple hundred feet from the bus station, and we're only going about 2.5 hours away. I figure we can hop the bus, get to the hotel in time for check in, take a nap, and go out for dinner and drinks.

We are leaving the next day, but there are 2 fights to Jamaica every Saturday from NYC so we're aiming to be on the afternoon flight to give ourselves time. Too early to book the tickets still but resort is booked!

Nope. We still haven't gone on our honeymoon! I would have had a terrible time if I had gone right after. I was so spent from all the wedding and pre-wedding activities all I wanted to do was sleep!

Our wedding is on a Saturday, and our flight is at 8pm on Sunday night. It would have been nice to have a day in between but that would have either shortened our honeymoon by a day (going to Europe so didn't want to do that) or we would have had to take another day off work.

We're heading out on our HM the day after. However, we're also having a morning ceremony and a reception that we're leaving at about 5pm (to ensure a good night's rest.. lol), so we're looking at at least 7 hours of sleep before a 3 hour drive to the Smokey Mountains.

We're getting married on a saturday and we decided it was best for us to leave on tuesday. Sunday we'll likely be spending part of the day with family that comes from out of town, and we decided that monday we want to take that day to unpack our hotel bags and pack for the honeymoon. We were originally going to leave on monday and im very glad we decided against it.

Our wedding is Saturday and our flight leaves at 3:30pm Sunday. Since it's in the afternoon, I'm hoping for the best. We plan on having everything packed and ready to go.

I wanted to leave Monday, but we're going to Europe, and wanted the extra day/night there.

I did the first time around and we were both too exhausted to even enjoy the first few days. I think it's best to wait a few days. This time we are waiting until our first year anniversary.

I think if you're on a red eye the night after you may be ok. I originally wanted to leave the next morning but the flights got moved and we left Monday instead. It worked fine. I may almost prefer a red eye the night after bc at least I'd know I'd be so tired. I was just in Rome in August. Have so much fun.

Getting married on Saturday leaving for our cruise on monday

We got married on Saturday and left on our honeymoon on Sunday evening. Honestly it was a little stressful. We had to deal with moving all of the wedding decorations (That my parents had taken) back to our apartment--no they don't just magically disappear after the wedding. It is doable though.

We are, but we're going on a cruise so I'm planning to take a long nap as soon as we get situated on the ship.

My FH and I planned for two days after the wedding. We have a breakfast after the wedding day and didnt want to rush spending time with family who traveled to visit us.

We are going to stay at a BnB on our wedding night and then spend the next day with our families from out of town. That weekend we are going to stay at a schmancy hotel for a stay-cation. Our actual honeymoon will be next spring. I am giving him full discretion with that.

I am a new vendor on Wedding Wire and still setting up my site. As a travel agent, I always tell my brides that depending on where you are planning on going on your honeymoon you can either leave the next day or wait a day in-between. Just remember, if you leave the next day, you must have everything packed and ready to go since you will not have much time after the wedding to do any last minute stuff.
