Trying to decide where to go for honeymoon. Where are you going? Why did you choose that destination?

I had our honeymoon in Isla Holbox in Mexico. We had a destination wedding in Playa Del Carmen Mexico so going to another country was just too complicated for us. However I wanted something different not just drive from one hotel to another and although we consider Tulum it just the same beach so we went for Isla Holbox that is just completely different and we never been before. It was a 2 hour car drive from our hotel and then to get island you have to get a ferry. It was amazing!

Oahu Hawaii. It’s where we are getting married and we have wanted to go for a long time anyway and the whole thing was gonna be so cheap if we just got married there.

Our honeymoon is a mini moon and was gifted to us by my Future in laws. They rented a beach bungalow in st. Augustine for us to stay at for 3 nights. We plan on taking another honeymoon for like a week in April when we both have vacation days again (our wedding is a DW so we used our days for that and the mini moon).

We always dreamed about Bora Bora, until we realized how long the travel is! But then we agreed that we'd rather delay our honeymoon because we'll also be buying a house. Instead we'll most likely go to Hawaii. We've done the all-inclusive thing before and we tend to get a little bored, so we figure there should be enough sight-seeing as well as relaxing.

NYC because we had to cancel our trip to Brazil, Argentina and Peru and we got zero refunds 😖

We were able to visit old friends, visit some of our favorite places, and we spent a day recreating our first out-of-town trip as a couple ❤️

    Where: U.S. Virgin Islands
Why: 1. It is still apart of the U.S. so we won't have to worry about passports or having trouble with getting back into the country.
    2. I wanted beaches with clear water outside of the basic U.S. states.
    3. It is beautiful!

We are going to Hawaii and we chose that because we wanted to be on a beach but we're both not super beach bums so we wanted to be able to do other things too. We LOVE to hike and be outdoors so we figured we'd get all of that in Hawaii.

We are having a destination wedding in New York anyways so we decided to take the week and are going out East and renting a house on the North Fork! Going to just spend the week relaxing, seeing the wineries and breweries that we never get a chance to see, enjoy the beach, the little boutiques and cobblestone streets. Just a short drive to the Hamptons or Montauk!

Cabo in November. It's because our wedding is in November, & it's still technically hurricane season in the Caribbean. I wanted to choose a beach that was close enough to the US and that was sort of away from the Atlantic Ocean too.

We are going a couple hours away and staying in a cabin on the lake we found through zillow. Nothing fancy; we just want to relax together and both came to the conclusion that we probably were not going to want a busy schedule of sight seeing.

We were from California (and got married there) and decided to have our honeymoon in Tucson, Arizona! I know, a super weird destination for a honeymoon, but this is why we chose it:

We LOVE taking road trips, that's kind of our "thing" and I have pretty bad anxiety when it comes to flying. So we immediately knew we wanted to go someplace we could drive to to alleviate any added stress of flying. We then narrowed it down by environment. We both love the desert and were hoping to go someplace tranquil and full of cacti, which really helped narrow down potential cities/states. Then we knew while on our honeymoon, we wanted to be able to explore a new (to us) National Park; we love exploring National Parks together. So taking all of this into consideration, we decided on Tucson! We've never been there so we'd have a new city to explore, new breweries to try, and of course Saguaro National Park to adventure in! We did pamper ourselves by booking a casita suite at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain for all 7 days, which was pure bliss. Not only was the resort gorgeous and our room huge and beautiful, but from the moment we pulled up to the moment we left, every single staff person knew we were "Mr. & Mrs. Cohen" and all of them congratulated us on our marriage! It made us feel so special! Plus when we checked in our room had a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and heartfelt card waiting for us. It didn't stop there though. Staff in the Fireside Bar gifted us free cocktails, and their PHENOMENAL onsite restaurant CORE comped us free dessert & appetizer. It was such a wonderful & luxurious experience. Of course we also had a dream worthy couples massage at their onsite spa as well; we wish we could relive that whole spa experience 100 times over.

People thought we were crazy to spend a week honeymooning in Tucson, Arizona, but it was the best time and we can't wait to go back again!

    We chose St. Augustine.

FH and I love historical vacays. (He still says his favorite was when we went to Charleston, and he always talks about going back.) His boss took us to Flagler Beach last summer for Memorial Day, and we drove into St. Augustine for a few hours for lunch. Immediately, FH was like "This town is so beautiful! I would love to spend more time here!" Mind you, it was POURING rain the entire time we were there LOL!

When we came home, he just kept talking about wishing we could have spent more time in St Augustine. But what really sealed the deal is my FH loves the Old Town Trolley tours. We did one for our first anniversary, and we did something similar in Charleston. When we found out St Augustine had the same thing, it was a done deal. I'm so excited for the trip!!

What FH doesn't know is that I have a surprise planned for him. I scheduled us a helicopter tour over the town and the bay. He has no idea and I know he'll be so excited when we show up!

Let me suggest Colombia! There's a beautiful natural hot and cold spring there! It's in Santa Rosa! My FH is always talking about it! It's where his parents honeymooned. (He's from Colombia)

I think maybe the first stop at Buffalo Trace! It is one of the longest consecutively running distilleries in America since they were granted a medical exception to keep making bourbon during the prohibition. The grounds were just stunning and it was our first experience so the most memorable.
