I haven't taken a honeymoon with a child with autism but I have taken many many vacations with a child with autism. Every child is different of course. Destinations that worked for her: Atlantis, Disney Aulani, Disney cruise, Dallas (stayed at Gaylord). She liked these because they had many scheduled activities and very clean, organized environments. Places she did NOT like: anywhere in Europe, New York City

We have gone to Disney and the biggest issue is that the lines can be long, sometimes over an hour or several hours, and this can lead to tantrums. They try to make the lines engaging, but it can be a lot. If you go, I would recommend a time that isn't busy. I would also highly recommend not telling your child beforehand or talking up any particular ride. For my sister, once she fixates on something ("we are going on Splash Mountain") and then the line is 2 hours long or the ride is closed, we have a day-ending meltdown on our hands. So we don't set any expectations for her and she is pleasantly surprised.

The other thing is that some of the rides can be triggers for them, and unlike at the fair or a smaller amusement park, you can't ask them to stop the ride. My sister sobbed through It's a Small World because it was dark and it terrified her. So there's a bit of an art to picking rides there.

If you want to do Disney could you see if they have any special passes so they don't have to wait in the physical lines? I worked at a theme park near me for 5 years and we had a pass where if you couldn't physically wait in line you could get a time to come back later.
